PARKING FOR ANGLERS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF EAST ANGLIA
The University has a system for dealing with illegal parking on campus. A Parking Charge Notice (PCN) will be issued to drivers who are not members of the University’s car park permit scheme who breach the University’s car parking rules. These drivers will be liable for a £50 charge, reduced to £30 if paid within fourteen days. Traffic duties will continue to be carried out by UEA Security Team and an outside agency. Illegal parking by registered permit holders (e.g. no permit and/or scratch card displayed) will be dealt with by issuing warnings and infringements which may result in suspension from the UEA car parking scheme.
COSTS AND HOW TO APPLY FOR A PARKING PERMIT
The cost of onsite UEA parking is £4.16 per day. There is however no charge for anglers parking at weekends, and overnight parking between 19.00 to 07.00 weekdays, providing your vehicle is registered with UEA to park on campus. There is now no need to display permits. Your registration number is logged with Transport lodge. Please ensure your registration is valid and not expired.
Parking scratch cards and car parking permits are available from the Transport Lodge on weekdays during opening hours between 08:00 and 17:00. Scratchcard payment is up front via cash or card payment. However, you will be required to complete a direct debit form when you apply for a parking permit.
The University has also adopted an online parking system called RingGo. Users can now download the App and pay online.
The location code for UEA is:
Campus All areas for permit holders 62956
You will also see codes for the following areas.
Suffolk road car park (normal anglers parking) 62950
Main car park 62952
West car park 62955
These are for non-permit holders, and you will be charged at non-permit holder prices.
Details on how to download, register and use the app are given here https://myringgo.co.uk/
Parking permits are valid for 12 months from the date of issue so returning anglers will need to check the expiry date and renew their registration at the Lodge.
