Gareth Lee – Chairman

My fishing started at about 10 years old. I started as every angler should, catching Roach, Bream and Tench on a float rod, steadily learning my craft. At about 15 I became obsessed with carp fishing, an obsession I carry to this day. Some of my happiest times have been spent in a bivvy, endlessly watching the lake around me and enjoying the wildlife. I love the anticipation that fishing brings and being so close to nature. I try to get out at least once a week for a quick overnighter at the very least.

Peter Belton – Secretary

I have been fishing since the age of eight. Starting in East London and going on to Norfolk. Principal interests are river fishing for chub and in winter pike fishing with occasional forays for bream and tench. I have been lucky enough to fish in a lot of different counties including Bermuda, Thailand Burma and New Zealand.

Brian Hipperson – Ordinary Member

I have been fishing for approximately 70 years. Match fishing, club fishing, and for pleasure. I have fished in Ireland and Holland for nearly 30 years and have fished the UEA Broad since before it was even dug out. I can’t imagine life without fishing.

Peter Dennis – Ordinary Member

I starting fishing at an early age, so I have been fishing for many years. I enjoy all styles of fishing but my favourite is float fishing for early season tench. Most of the season is taking up by carp fishing, then winter sees me fishing for Pike.

Dean Cooper – Ordinary Member

I started fishing at the age of 6, down at the local river at Earlham Park. I started on the UEA broad when I was 13 where I fished for whatever came along. In the winter the pike rods would come out. The following year I started fishing for the carp where I caught my first carp, 15lb 12oz and then that was it. I’ve been fishing for carp ever since, my first 20lber, 30lber and 40lber were all from the UEA. Just the 50lber to go lol.
