Wed/ Heavy overnight rain, levels up again above platforms. One Pike rod with a cracking 17lb’er to net. Thu/ All riverside pegs closed due to high river levels. Carp rod uniside with two Stockies to net. Fri/ Sunny day no early sunrise rods. One rod arriving. Sat/ Two Carp rods on uniside No runs yet ? Sun/ No late evening sunset rods, very cold front coming in.

Fri/ One Pike rod with a Jack first thing.Quite today, no walkers ? Sat/ Levels rising again after heavy overnight downpour. Most pegs under water. Sun/ Levels well up , all platforms under. One dead bait Pike rod with a couple of Jacks to net.

Wed/ Only day Angling allowed under New Lockdown Rules , Freezing front coming in, no rods on. Thu/ No rods again . One Pike rod just arrived, Very cold. Fri/ Evening thick fog shrouds the lake, just 1 Day Carper packing up, no runs. Sat/ Margins of Lake starting to freeze. No walkers about tonight. Sun/ Now 80% of Lake covered in Ice Lid. only 6ft of margins free for a line. No rods. Diesel pollution seems to have been sorted, as no more signs in the river ??

Mon/ The weekend Epic floods, starting to recede. All pegs still under No anglers on . Tue/ Very cold One Carper on last night with no runs, water still high. Otter was seen early morning. Wed/ Three Carpers setting up for the night. Chilly east winds. Thu/ No runs again last night, Water colour is strange light brown ?? after floods. Fri / Freezing night left some margins frozen. No rods mid day ? Sat/ Again freezing conditions Just 1 Pike rod But left early. Sun/ Wet cloudy day, water still a very strange Colour almost Cappuccino ?? Surprised to see diesel spill has not been dealt with by EA ten days and still coming in River upstream of Lake ??

Mon/ Just 2 Carpers on today, and 1 Pike lure rod with a couple of jacks to net. Tue/ Quite morning and Chilly, with 1 Dead bait Pike rod on, no runs. I counted 4 grey Herons and 3 Little Egrets on today, awesome sight. Wed/ Again very quite no late rods about yet ? Low front moving in Rain forecast. Thu/ Diesel spill in river ?? bad smell. Thankfully lake is overflowing INTO river, so we should be fine. Big Carp found dead, lost weight, digestive problems. 3 Night rods on. Fri/ Extreme floods overnight ? biggest Ive seen in 10 years, River runs into Lake, All pegs and pathways under water ? No axcess to 90% of Lake. Sat/ Broad empty Still in full flood. Sun / Levels receding slowly Paths now accessible. All pegs platforms still under water. 1 Carp rod on tonight. Otter was seen early morn, back out to river.

Fri/ Not a lot happening this past week ? 3 Carp and 2 Pike all struggling for runs. Sat/ Just 1 Feeder rod on today with a smashing bag of Slabs to net. Just 1 Carper on tonight. Sun/ Cloudy with 2 Mid double Stock Carp out to roaming rod of riverside pegs. No night rods on.

Mon/ Yesterday saw 3 Carp to night rod Unibank up to 18lb. all Mirrors. Freezing fog this morning, with no rods on. Tue/ A couple of day Carpers on, most runs are after dark and just before sunrise. Wed/ Another cold day, with a milder front moving in. One Pike rod roaming, and One Angler baiting a swim. Thu/ A change in temps today, milder. 3 Carp rods settling in for the night. Looking good. Fri/ A stunning Linear Mirror apx 20lb out uniside rod. 3 on today and milder. Sat/ Cloudy a drizzle most of day, 2 rods tucked up in Bivvies. One lost big lump to net in narrows. Sun/ Wet again with 2 Rods ending sessions, One lost Carp and Bream to nets. No afternoon rods.

It always amazes me why rods asleep at sunrise ?? Thu/ Again no reports of any Carp runs 3 Carpers on today, grand sunset. Fri/ Lots of Pike in margins chasing silverfish. 3 Day Carpers on and 4 for night. Sat/ Rain and chilly night Temps dropping and new low moving in. 3 Carpers on for the night.
